Error while opening Enterprise portal Page in Ax 2012

 Getting below error when opening Expense report page for workflow approval.


An unhandled error has occurred. To view details about this error, enable debugging in the web.config file or view the Windows event logs.


An exception of type MetdataException has occurred while performing the operation.

Tried below solution but not yet resolved , you comment are welcome.


  1. Clear usage data from ax
  2. Clear AUC files for client
  3. Check event viewer for Windows to get error
  4. Refresh AOT , Data elements from AOT 
  5. TIme out setting for IIS on recyling option
